This may seem like a dumb question, but can I use non-commercial extensions and templates for my business? In other words, for commercial purposes. It may have been the the agreement, but I did not see it. I just want to make sure I do things with integrity. Thanks in advance for your help.

This is not a dumb question at all. Most non-commercial offerings I have seen also extend this courtesy to businesses. The developers usually stipulate though that their home page links and copyright notices are not removed/commented out from the code or that users don't sell or take credit for the work. Of course, if you can make a donation, then the developers would be even happier :).

Thank you so much dizzi. Is there something that I can do to make sure that the creator does not mind me using it for my business, or is there some kind of documentation I should look for?

Any restrictions, terms/conditions of usage, stipulations etc are usually included in a "readme" or other appropriately named file bundled with the extension. Additionally, the developer's website/support forum usually contains the the particulars relating to usage. If a developer has attached conditions relating to commercial use, they will make sure that they quite visible :).

Regards
