For sure I know that I am not alone out here of all users having this problem

Under Weblinks page a top line with this apperars

Notice: Only variables should be assigned by reference in /xxx/xxxx/xxxvxxxx/xxxxxx/webspace/httpdocs/components/com_weblinks/views/category/view.html.php on line 51

Any one who knows how to solve this?

Do you have any categories active in Weblinks?

BTW, what Joomla Version are you using?
Don't HACK the Joomla! core, Instead "Extend" and/or "Override."
Stay ON the update path.

I use the latest version of Joomla. Since i have done a lot of backend work i only have the "inbuilt links to joomla" And yes they are active...
