Hello,

I'm working on my site and any "page" except the front page doesn't show any template. Just text and modules. I'm sure it's something very, very simple that I've overlooked, but I'm at a loss as to how to fix the problem.

My site is (removed as issue is resolved). click on "Sitemap" in the bottom right corner to see what I mean.

Total link of this site is going on forums. so any page will not display. you create a menu. and give proper link for menu.

Thanks for the quick reply, but I'm not really sure what you mean. Can you explain more?

If you click on sitemap in the bottom you'll see what is happening. I also just made a "Test" link.

1.You create menu with menu manager.
2. Active some module with module manager.then check this site.

Yes, but am I supposed to "put" them on just the non-front page pages somehow? Maybe that's what I'm missing?

I've read that it might have something to do with SEF/SEO but I'm still at a loss for how to fix it.

It's a problem resulting from SEF/SEO.

I resolved the issue by editing the configuration.php file directly and changed var $live_site = ''; to var $live_site = 'http://www.mywebsite.com';

Everything is working fine now.

Thanks for the help.

Hello
I have just got this problem with my website, which has worked perfectly since it went live a couple of months ago. Now the template appears on the homepage but only text and links on all subsequent pages. I'm a real Joomla! novice, so would really appreciate some advice in words of one syllable. I'm going to look at the configuration.php file as suggested in another post, but would like some words of comfort!
Thanks a lot

hi

I have the same problem. Can i find the file within the administartion centre and can I make changes there?

When I try to change the file directly in my hosting account control panel I get this message: '[a fatal error or timeout occurred while processing this directive]'

any suggestions?

Here is what I did, and it worked:

1. Copy the file "configuration.php" from your server to your computer. (I use an FTP program to do this quickly) It is located in the root directory of your site, probably in "public_html"
2. Open the configuration.php file using a web editor or Notepad.
3. Find the line that says "var $live_site = ' ' " and change it to "var $live_site = 'http://www.mysite.com' " (where http://www.mysite.com is the actual address of your site)
4. Save the file and close it
5. Copy the file from your computer back to your server, overwriting the old configuration.php file

I just did this, and it solved the problem perfectly. I'm also a Joomla 1.5 newbie (although I have used Joomla 1.0 for a couple of years) so I'm still learning, also.

Hope this helps you understand what to do, and thanks to DealsLife for the solution!
