The only way this directory is going to work is with lots and lots of feedback. Ok I know the invites haven't gone out yet, so there is not much to give feedback on. But just keep this in mind.

The resources directory is not launched to the public yet. It will be open once we have sorted out all pre-population submissions.

Just make sure to type in the User and pass rather than copy and paste, as copy and paste can also be the cause of it not working.

I've gone ahead and completed the registration process. Pretty straightforward.

I've completed filling in the form to add our listing.

Feedback 1:
After I pressed submit, I wanted to be able to preview the way my listing was going to be displayed. Is this possible?

Feedback 2:
I clicked on "My Page" to edit my listing. The edit button works as expected.

But when I click on our company avatar...

That's all I have for now... ;D

@jeddy

1) The only preview available is in summary as shown in your screenshot.

2) Fixed.

Thanks for your feedback!

No go, Steve, sorry! I've been told the first letter is a lowercase L and you're saying it's a lowercase I and I've tried the number 1 too -- they all look the same. Nothing is working.

thanks,
Jen

OK, I've created a listing for my company. That was pretty easy.

Next question: for my blog, www.joomla4web.com , is that something that might go here in this directory, or is it a showcase item, or does it have any place on the Joomla sites at all? A category of "blog" might be a good addition, if it does have a place on this site. And if blogs do not have a place on this site, that would be good to mention somewhere.

I'd recommend you write a description of what should go in each category. Are all 1 person companies "freelancers" automatically? Or can they be consultants? Or can we list in both places, if we're one person companies?

It's not immediately obvious if you are talking about primary services or if secondary services for some categories. For example, we provide hosting for our clients, and I do project management. Could I list 4Web in the "project management" and "hosting" categories too? Somehow that seems not really appropriate, and that it's better listed just in the Consulting category. But when you open this up, people will be wanting to list their company in as many places as possible. Better to establish some ground rules now than later.

Great work, everyone.
Jen

At this time we are only allowing 1 category per company. we may change that down the road though. as for you having 2 companys, 3 if you count the University please hold off on that for now and I will have a better answer for you later today.

I have just submitted my freelance portfolio web site to the listing. I didn't see any problems during this process but I have one question.

I got a feeling that I will be able to upload two images. If I edit my listing details, there is a possibility to sort images. It is just that I can't find a way to add this second image.

Do I miss something here?
