I've Read a variety of Topics on this issue all over the joomla forums already and still haven't had any luck. I would appreciate any help and this is certainly an issue I haven't encountered before... Strange..

Here is the issue:

My Php Info:

My PHP.ini is located in c:\php
Extensions are located in c:\php\ext
Some are in c:\Windows\system32

Environment Path:

Reinstalled IIS
Reinstalled PHP
Searched Joomla Forums found a number of threads including

And still no luck... I've attached a copy of the php.ini. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Installed WAMP instead of IIS and have the exact same problem.... Strange.

With WAMP MySQL is a service that needs to start. Can you check if that is actually running and if not what the errors are (there is a mysql log in c:\wamp)

I updated the db setting in the configuration.php from mysql to mysqli and that seemed to give it a ok work around. Still testing with it now.

MySQLi is actually better, so if you do not need MySQL Id stick to that.

may be WAMP restart is required once.

As of the version Appserv I have installed it has apache2 and php5 package. Can you suggest any solution/work around?
