Hi.
Joomla Power Edition lets you choose which addons would you like to install with Joomla itself. Choosen addons will be automaticly installed during standard (with slight modification) Joomla instalation proces.

JoomlaPE is a self executable archive. After opening it under windows it will allow you to choose which addons to install with Joomla. After this all needed files are copied to folder C:\joomlaPE_en from which you upload Joomla on server. After this you follow almost standart installation

After instalation we have Joomla with choosen addons. There is no modification in any file beside installation files so there will be no problem with removing any addon or future upgarde.

You can find list of addons and more information here - Home page

You can download it here

I would like to thank my firends from www.joomlapl.com who host this project

WOW!!!

Fantastic! Thank you!

Is there a possibility to add and delete CMT's to the installation file (and make them appear in the installation menu, of course :-)?

CMT is basically short for components, modules and mambots. This means any application that can get installed in the administrator backend.

I am very interested in an answer to this same question, as I've asked how to add CMTs to the installer and never got an answer :)
It would be nice to get a simple tutorial on how to add CMTs and languages to the installer..

Thanks Tonie, now I got the picture:)

@eyezberg My way is that I install all CMT's on local, and then copy entires from databse ,with slight changes that are need, to separate sql files wiitch leter on are executed if a files of concrete CMT are present on serwer. And  with windows instalator we are can diecide which files are to be copied and which not. I havent preperd any tutiorial on how to change my install modification as I'm not sure if it will become useful:)

Hi Stone,

And many thanks for your excellent work.

I must say, however, that I did not understand whether it IS or it ISN'T possible to ADD and DELETE components, modules, templates, bots and languages to and from your installer, as opposed to CHOOSING pre-installed functionalities.

Thanks again.

HI
Of course it is possible as I'm planning to develop this instalator further. However it is not simply to explain

As for installer itself you will need NullSoft installer http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Main_Page to edit script and add instructions for next addons. The next thing is to modyfie Joomla install files to let it automiticly add during standrat install prcedure. If you are interested in detailed description of it let me know, and I will try to create some manual to the end of the week.

Why not create a component that can install the Joomla way? There are a few tutorials on the help part of the forum that can help you create your own CMT which can be installed/deinstalled from the backend, or am I missing something here now?

Sorry for not posting recently but I had a very busy time. But I was thinking about how to enable for you to add your choosen addons. However so far no luck with this since this is not that simply to do.
I will try think of something for the next version. In meantime you could just tell me which addon would you like to have in it. If you want to have it in you language I could also send you files that need to be translated

Changes in 1.0.4 version you can fiind in first post in this topic

"this is administrator panel to allow you to have multilaguage support"
Is it possible to create a multilingual site with Joomla PE, or I have to install other components, like mambel fish?

Hi.

Multilanguage (mainly based on http://www.mgfi.info ) lets you choose language for admin panel only, it doestn have any functionality of  mambelfish. It isnt perfcet since it can only have one labguage version of help and xml files. But rest in admin panel can be easy translated

I have installed Joomla PE and all the components, modules and mambots show up in the proper directories as being installed, but they are not available for use in the administrator section of the Joomla installation.  I don't know how to activiate and use them.

Thanks,
Edward

Right, the components and such were installed, I can go find them in the proper folders, but they do not show up on the administrator menus to be used.  There must be some way to turn them on that I can't find.  Only the basic components are available for me to use, not all the addons.

Thanks for the reply.

If it is not a problem try to download and install latest version of project. It is hard for me to tell what coused the problem since it look like some sql queries wasnt executeted during installtion proces.
New installation should help with this problem. If not we will look furhter into the problem:)

everything works perfect.
thanks for a great product

can you give us more detailed info about installing SMF?

do we need to use smf update package or regular installation package???

if you give step by step instructions  joomla lovers can utilize your product
and by passes installation of so many componants and modules

this product might be perfect for joomla newbies

got it, just removed the first function of the file language_detection.php in the installation folder and added these two lines.

$language_install = 'english';
$language_install_img = $language_install;

it worked.

@mamboturk - Hi, I have detailed intructions how to install in polish, I onlu dont have time to translate it to english:), But I will try to do it in the next few days

@linkrink thank for information, I will look into this, as it seems it doesnt happen on all serwers. Could you give details of your sever configuration

Today I realed 1.0.8d with two changes:
1. my integration of Phpbb2 by Przemo
Modification of popular forum phpbb2 from site http://www.przemo.org. This modification is based on phpBB 2.0.X script, it contains about 200 add-ons, with ability to switch off any of them in admin's panel. Bridge is still released as beta as I will continue to work on it, all main features of it are working on my localhost but more testing is needed to check it with different server configurations.

Present features of integration:
- all users aspects are integrated: registration, login, adding new users, deleting users, editing users
- the is no option to run forum in component mode, only stand alone
- required settings (predefined in JoomlaPE)
Joomla prefix – jos_
Forum prefix – phpbb_
Forum dir – forum
In final version of integration those parameters will be changeable.

2. Upgrade of SMF bridge to 1.1 stable
