Re: Multilingual Registration Approval - support
Hallo, I have Joomla 1.5.11 installed in the dutch language.
I installed this plugin, i like very much, however i do not see any difference between without and with the plugin installed. The template i use is "freeride"and has the jdoc:include type= "message" in it. I click on "do not forget to publish click here and also activate it.
But the administrator get an inform message and the user the message with the activation link
So no change with and without the plugin.
Please can you give me some hints for checking the plugin installation.
Thanks in advance,
Regards Daan

The first messages and mails are the default ones in your language/nl-NL/nl-NL.com_user.ini file, as if the plugin was not published.
You may want to change slightly the message for the user to reflect the new way of registration.
the token is
REG_COMPLETE_ACTIVATE=[...]. //add here in your language: An admin will then verify your mail and approve your registration.
and also change the content of the mail sent to the user in the same file
SEND_MSG_ACTIVATE= //change there
After activation you may login...etc.
by
After approval by an administrator, you will be able to login...etc.
Anyway, what happens is that, when the user clicks on the activation link, a new message is displayed telling the user that an admin has to accept his registration.
At the same time an e-mail is sent to the admin letting the choice to activate the user or not.
If the admin activates the user, a new mail is sent to the user letting the user know that login is now possible.

Is the registration working when the plugin is unpublished?
Do you have at least one admin authorized to receive/send mail ?

Thank you for your prompt response.
It is OK now.
It was my fault.
Is there a way of changing the messages ?
Can I add acceptance of terms of use?

The 2 first messages and mail depend on your xx-XX.com_user.initpaschalis wrote:Thank you for your prompt response.

The others come from the plugin language files
You can change the contents of the plugin language files in administrator/language/ xx-XX/xx-XX.plg_system_registrationapproval.ini
where xx-XX is the prefix for the language.
Make sure you place the variables OK ( %s) and save language file as utf8.

I forgot to tell you that I also have VirtueMart installed and user registration depends also from that. Because I have to record a different tax % depending on the Address.
As a procedure it works, but the messages are different and after the aproval no message is send back to the user
Thanks again for your help.

Multilingual Registration Message
Hi,
Love this plugin.
But my user never gets the message after activating.
Is there a special position in the template to add the jdoc.
Thanx.

Re: Multilingual Registration Approval - support
Just figured out. I seems the plugin uses the "admin" user account. For security reason, I created another Super Admin account and downgraded the admin a a publisher. Since I gave the user admin Super Admin privilege it works fine!mschnyde wrote:Hi

Do NOT forget to customize the Email and From parameter for each language in Joomfish language configuration (click on right icon).

Re: MRA - support - email sender missing
Hi
I have just installed the script and it was what I nedded...
The two first mails (the normal joomla mails when registrering) comes all fine.
but the mail to the admin that there's a user needing aproval and the following mail to the user about account aproved is missing an entry in the sender E-mail. it is blank...
I am running joomla 1.5.14 with joomfish and more...
edit!
found out it is Jommfish... My default language is danish, and I have English as the only other language. All values on the servertab is written in danish, I have therefore not med a "danish to danish" translation i joomfish, and therefore the site name is missing in the danish edition of first mail to the admin and the user. If i set any and/or all of the "danish to danish" tranlation the sitename will be present in the first to mails to user/admin but then when the user press the activation/confirmation the site reports "Can't initialise the Mailfunktion" (my translation from danish)
Note there isn't any problems when registrering in English ... HELP!
EDIT:
Hmmm this is weird...
I have now ONLY inserted the E-mail and from field in the danish joomfish translation and the script works... (but still no email in the sender field of the second set of emails...)
But when inserting the site name in the danish joomfish translation, the mailfunction can't be initialized after the user presses the activation link... - if I only "translate" the sitename, same thing happen
If I disable the overwrite globals values setting i joomfish danish fails bu English does not...

Re: Multilingual Registration Approval - support
If Danish is your main language in Joomfish, then all is set for it per default.
It is in the Joomfish English language Configuration that Site name and From field have to be entered.

Yes and when registering in English all is fine... but... when registrering in danish as written further up, the sitename is missing in the first to emails (the joomla emails) og the sender e-mail/from field is missing in the to latter emails (the MRA mails)... it is realy frustrating...

Re: Multilingual Registration Approval - support
Hello! I am trying to use this extension. I installed and activated it, but it doesn't do anything - new users can register and use the site without anything else happening. No emails are sent, but a Message appears at the top of the main page, "You May Now Log In." The new user is apparently able to do so without admin intervention.
When a new user registers, the message appears,
"Your account has been created and an activation link has been sent to the e-mail address you entered. Note that you must activate the account by clicking on the activation link when you get the e-mail before you can login."
The new users does receive an email with the activation link, but there is apparently no admin intervention required!
I am still getting the hang of Joomla extensions, so please forgive me if I am missing what is probably very obvious to most people...

Re: Multilingual Registration Approval - support
1. These 2 strings ( SEND_MSG_ACTIVATE and SEND_MSG_ADMIN) should be present in your Slovenian normal language pack, in language/sl-SL/sl-SL.com_user.ini
Where did you get the pack? I am not aware of any registered Slovenian pack for now.
2. Anyhow, for the rest of the plugin necessary strings, Slovenian translation is not included in this plugin.
You will have to create an ini file for it.
Copy the existing
en-GB.plg_system_registrationapproval.ini
change the name to
sl-SL.plg_system_registrationapproval.ini
Translate the strings, save as utf8 encoding.
FTP the file to your sl-SL administrator/language/sl-SL/ folder

I checked - and the plug-in is published - and it works! I looked in the admin panel/User Manager, and new users are indeed registered, but not enabled - this is the correct operation of the plug-in, I think.
What I need to do is to change:
The MESSAGE sent that appears when a new users submits the registration for the first time. This message now says, "Your account has been created and an activation link has been sent to the e-mail address you entered. Note that you must activate the account by clicking on the activation link when you get the e-mail before you can login."
I think it would be good to alter this message so that the new user realizes that the account must be approved before it actually works.
What file generates this message text?

Yes indeed and that is why I told you the file that should contain these strings
language/sl-SL/sl-SL.com_user.ini
for Slovenian
language/en-GB/en-GB.com_user.ini
for English.
Read the TIP here:

Re: Multilingual Registration Approval - support
Thank you for your help.
In my sl-SL.com_user.ini was missing SEND_MSG_ACTIVATE and SEND_MSG_ADMIN, I add it and work.
I translate the en-GB.plg_system_registrationapproval.ini file and rename it in sl-SL.plg_system_registrationapproval.ini.
I have a little problem the first two messages is in slovenian (account aktivation send to user and administrator), other messages when user acctivate account is in english (message to administrator that user acctivate the account and messages to user when administrator acctivate the user).
I missing the messages on the page when new user register (message in blue box if ok and red if user exist).
Where is the possible error?
The default language set in joomla is Slovenian.
Attached my translated file. Is possible that I make any mistake in the translated file.
I have installed Joom!Fish but at this moment is disabled. Is there the problem?

INtermittent Error when approving user
Hi - this is the error I am getting sometimes, not all the time:
"unable to find a user with the given activation string".
user registers, clicks link, superadmin get the email to approve the user, and when doing so, the above message shows.
However, the user shows as APPROVED, in the user manager, but, the user cannot log in.
Is there a reason for this and a reason it might only be happening from my client's office and not when I attempt to replicate it?
Thanks in advance,
Pat

Re: Multilingual Registration Approval - support
I have found one of my problem, my mistake. I rename the file in sl-SL..., the correct is sl-SI...
and every time I change anything in sl-SI.plg_system_registrationapproval.ini they cancel messages SEND_MSG_ACTIVATE and SEND_MSG_ADMIN in my sl-SI.com_user.ini
At this time I save the two files and work fine.
In the attachment is for me working sl-SI.plg_system_registrationapproval.ini
The problem that I don't found is missing the messages on the page when new user register (message in blue box that tell user receiving e-mail for acctivation if all ok and red box with errors if is an error in registration).

No approval message is sent
Everything works fine, but no message is sent to user after admin has approved (activated) him / her. I'm using the VirtueMart login module, and has changed the language file for this component. I guess this has nothing to do with the jdoc statement in the template, as the first message (when user har registrered) is displayed just fine on the page. What could be wrong?

Does it work OK with Joomla default login?

I would think that the activation backende by admin should work regardless of login module. I mean, the user is registrered, but not activated. So all is fine up to this poinnt. Only thing that remains is to send the last mail from when activated. And that is a standard Joomle-function ...infograf768 wrote:Never tested with Virtuemart login module.kimborg wrote:Everything works fine, but no message is sent to user after admin has approved (activated) him / her. I'm using the VirtueMart login module, and has changed the language file for this component. I guess this has nothing to do with the jdoc statement in the template, as the first message (when user har registrered) is displayed just fine on the page. What could be wrong?
Does it work OK with Joomla default login?
