henmar your request is a bit open (like asking what's a good means of transportation?)

So have you checked out ATutor or Dokeos?

There was a discussion somewhere about this http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,3648.0.html

Claroline is the other one maybe worth looking at

Thanks, but moodle is an e-learning system, not a joomla module. Does a moodle module or componet for joomla exist??

ya moodle is a e-learning system but you can integrate it with joomla, there is component available at moodle.org which enables this integration

See {EDIT] (Looks like the topic and message have been removed from the forums) Looks like it is being released as a commercial product.

Hi there,

I`m also looking for a good integrated solution for Joomla but my case is a bit different. I need a LMS that would allow me to share my desktop and run a virtual live classroom, in other words a webinar.

Does anyone know of any good solutions? I have found http://www.joomlalms.com but found it a bit expensive for my bussines model.

Thanks,
Andre

Hi.
I am creating a very big website for thousands of learners.
Moodle is one of the best LMS available till date. Its easy to use and is already spreading over the opensource users.

I am still in the initial usage of moodle, but so far i liked this.
So you can install Moodle(not a part of joomla, but a separate project). then u can instal joomla and then there is a plugin, Joomdle, which can integrate moodle into joomla(just like a module). you can share logins and courses inside joomla itself

so look for it and i can guide you how to install.. BTW they have very nice documentation to install(joomdle).

Hi,

Thanks for the information. Quick question before I go deeper into Moodle world; can I run live webinars/virtual classroom showing my screen content as I do in GotoWebinar?

Thanks

I hav not tested that yet, but there are many modules/components available online to instal on moodle(as we do with joomla also).
So i belive many must hav already thought of what you are thinking about..there will be installable modules to cater your need. You can search over it.
