Web Plateform Installer 2.0 ERROR

Post by srrupert » Mon Dec 28, 2009 8:16 pm

I have been trying to install Joomla Windows Server 2003
IIS 6.0

Need to have the web Platform Installer as well which includes the Joomla. The error i get is on the password for the joomlauser "*****" is not a valid password even though the password is "admin".

I write VB apps I think there is an error in the app itself coding the password field. Any assistance would be helpful.

Thanks

I too have the same problem using Web Platform Installer, it is as if the password entered was replaced with '******'.

Something is not being passed correctly.

I am using IIS7 on Win Server 2008

I am having the same problem. I have found that Web Platform installer passwords (all of them for installing Joomla) must have the following critera...
length = 8 or more characters
content = At least one capital letter
content = At least one numeral

Otherwise you get the message about "******" being parsed by the regular expression.

IIS7 on Win Server 2008

Cheers,
Shane

Yes, same installation issues here - appears the field is converting to * symbols without storage of characters for translation by the field cross check and validation.
