What do you mean by "some of character" ?
No idea what is your settings.
If a url does not work, obviously you will need to delete all caches after implementing the plugin.
Also, do not use with another SEF extension. Only with native Joomla SEF.

You have to decompress it locally and transfert by ftp to your site. Necessary files will be overwritten.
As usual, when doing such manipulation, better backup everything before.

Works fine here. See picture.

I am afraid I can't help you without looking at your site.
Are you sure you do not use another extension which is also overwriting class JFilteroutput ?

I suggest you first make a search locally to find out if any file in your extensions is using " JFilteroutput"

I found error with contact. after submit contact form then 404 Error

404 - Contact not found
You may not be able to visit this page because of:

1. an out-of-date bookmark/favourite
2. a search engine that has an out-of-date listing for this site
3. a mistyped address
4. you have no access to this page
5. The requested resource was not found.
6. An error has occurred while processing your request.

I tested with both linux 32bit & 64bit and windows. the same error

I do not know what you mean by "Submit contact form".
We do not have this in default Joomla core.
Adding a contact in back-end through the contact component works OK here.

This has nothing to do with Unicode slugs.
Unicode slugs only deals with creating aliases when using native Joomla SEF.
Sending a mail to a contact is totally another matter.
You may have a corruption or missing file in your Joomla installation.I suggest you overwrite your Joomal files by FTP a clean full 15.15 package.

SEF URLs - Support

Post by tvafrik » Fri Apr 16, 2010 2:10 pm

I've been reading the forum about the SEF URLs , I just wanted to ask maybe this plugin works for English character too. I couldn't find any topic about that. I know it works for other languages, Just want to know maybe it works for English characters before downloading it.

Thanks

ASCII is treated OK with unicode slugs plugin. If the site uses only ASCII, no need to use this plugin.

Hello, Nice plug in. I have a problem though.
All of my videos embedded using script (JWPlayer) disappeared.
In their place I only see "This text will be replaced"
Videos done via embedded objects do work. However I have switched most vides about 30 to script.
Please advise what could be done?

Sincerely, Yevgeny

I am not using this extension.
It looks at what you describe that the script is not taking into account non-asciii links.
Can you provide a link to a site and page where this happens?
I also suggest you contact the developper of this extension.

This possibility is explained where you downloaded the plugin.

To solve the issue, delete the plugin files by ftp in plugins/
Then, using PhpMyadmin, open the jos_plugins table and delete the plugin row.

I am interested to know which 3rd party extensions and plugins are installed on your site.

Hello, I uninstalled the plug in using back end and FTP, However, in the front end the site is still showing modified URL as if plug in is running. I went to jos_plugins under my sub-directiory were russian joomla database installed, but I do not understand what you mean by "delete the plugin row" Could you please specify. Sincerely, Yevgeny

Hello, I figured it out. After plug in is uninstalled go to the global user area select Search Engine Friendly URLs to "NO"

Thank you, for your help

Hi Jean!

I am trying to use your plug on a windows server with IIS.

I am using Japanese Characters.

I have .htaccess working with the native SEO. The URL rewrite works with latin characters like ç ã ...

Ok. So I discovered that the Unicode slugs works with some Japanese characters. There are some working characters but they are the minority.

Anyone, any help? Please!
