insert new background image

hi to all!i'm new in this world,and i 'don't know CSS code and HTML code.
i would like to know how i can change the background image in my template?
I went in the css' directory and i uploaded the new image.
After when i went in to css code and i changed the url's image nothing happen when i went to refresh the page!please hlep me or i'm going to be crazy!

Hi welcome to Joomla forum...
Check the image path in your CSS file,and replace that image with your new image.Make sure the New image name should be same as Old image name.Use Firefox/Firebug
