dostum merhaba ilgin için teşekkürler http://www.turkbirlik.gen.tr
joomla 1.5 e kuruyorum artık sadece türk lehçeleri sözlüğü olacak bu sitede
joomlanın 1.1.12 sürümünün azerbaycan, özbek , tatar, kazak tercümeleri var

joomla 1.5 in ise çevirisi yüzde yetmiş civarında bir iki gün içinde orası aktif olacak sözlük hizmetinin faydalı olacağını düşünüyorsan üye olabilirsin ama yinede kurduktan sonra sana dil dosyalarını ulaştıracağım. :)

Don't send anything.  :)
Create a project on Forge where you may release them.
Separate the files/packages depending on language and Joomla version (1.0.12 or 1.5)
Please read the Translation Policy and send me a pm if you are interested.
http://dev.joomla.org/content/view/41/65/

1.5 is not ready yet and packages are separated in 3 parts :
Installation
Administration
Site

The only part included with 1.5 official release is the Installation. You have to be an accredited Translation Team to get this one in the release.

Uzbekistan Language Pack for Joomla 1.5

Post by JansenCorp » Sat Oct 30, 2010 8:39 am

Hi,

Not sure what was being asked, but if you are asking for Uzbek Language Pack, it is here...

http://sourceforge.net/projects/joomla15uzbekla/files/

It has not yet been officially approved, but there is no actual code in it to go wrong as it were and it is a direct translation from the Russian one. I trust the actual translation itself, as it was done by the wife and a couple of collegues I work with in Tashkent ;)

I am currently waiting for it to be checked and added to extension library, until then - grab it from the above sourceforge account.

I hope it helps...

Darren

Hello,

we would appreciate if Uzbek was added to our registered languages.
Please contact me at your convenience.
It would just need some changes in the headers to respect OSM Copyright (Changes which have to be done anyway)

Thanks JM,

The language pack was submitted to the powers at be for inclusion almost three weeks ago and I have heard nothing... I have also sent you a private message too asking what changes you would like to the copyright which I will do as per your instruction, but I am yet to receive a reply.

I look forward to hearing from somebody soon, so that we can officially publish its existence knowing all is happy with it.

Best regards,

Darren

Great News - the Uzbekistan language pack has been approved and is mentioned in the extensions section... There was no request however to change anything with reference to copyright etc. JM - if you would still like to see some kind of alteration - please drop me a line and I'll get it actioned.

Best wishes,

Darren

Thanks :)

I find it very interesting... difficult at times, but I even found the UK quite stressful after working in Tokyo and having the benefits of their almost futuristic like infrastructure, so I think it is just me :)

Uzbekistan is about 15 years behind Europe which by coincidence is the span of my entire career, it feels like I have the opportunity to start again from scratch, but with the wealth of 15 years experience behind me, something when I first started, I could have only dreamed of ;)

We had a recession in UK from 2007 – 2010, so for this period I did a lot of freelance work for some of the bigger firms in the UK and US to pay the bills, a slower pace of life that I started to get used to, so now it feels very busy indeed; now that things have improved and my old clients have started knocking on the door, I am rebuilding a team like the one we had in India, but this time in Tashkent.

Bureaucracy is very time consuming here, just like it was in the UK at the beginning when getting approval for credit card processing took an age, whereas now you can get it there in 24 hours; I have seen it all before and appreciate it takes time.

Uzbekistan has only had its independence and newly found infrastructure for about 10 years now, whereas the UK has had 300 years worth of practice, so from that respect, considering they have turned the country’s entire economy around so quickly, you can’t help but be a little impressed ;)

I find all this registration between the different towns laborious when I am used to travelling all over Europe without even having to think about it, but of course with the country so close to Afghanistan etc. I of course understand and agree that a little inconvenience for the safety of an entire country is of course understandable.

My mother is from a small island called Mauritius and a lot of the land marks I asked about as a child, I was told was from forefathers of India, but one trip to Uzbekistan and you quickly realise where they must have come from first. :)

The first time I came to Uzbekistan, we seconded a taxi for 2 days and saw all the main mosques and historical buildings of the 12 teachers, I knew nothing about the 2,000 years worth of history or your close connection with India until 6 months ago; I am slowly but surely falling in love with the place, but I do miss home for sure.

http://www.[youtube].com/watch?v=4aCcmpEM_KQ

With reference to programmers here - you will find two types, those who have all the theory in their head with little experience or those with lots of experience who are self taught and have no concept of working as part of a team; both of course have half of the required pre-requisites for an ideal coder, but they need a lot of training to work to European Standards. They are very bright and I have all the confidence in them to make the effort to teach.

With reference to designers, most designers here are either self taught or from the world of print media and most have little or no experience of slicing and making CSS files, we therefore have to teach this as to ask a coder to do CSS in the UK is not too different to ask a brain surgeon to peal potatoes, it is just not complicated enough and is of course simple enough for any designer to learn.

I have no doubt that it will take time to develop a team, but once we have the right team, the company will take shape and be the catalyst it should be to allow all team members to develop best practise solutions as part of a valued team that they would otherwise never have the opportunity to do on their own.

By achieving the above, it is almost impossible not to please the clients in the process.

I hope you find the language pack of use.

Wow, long but great intro!
i'm myself originally from uzbekistan, but spent half of my life in US.
Last year i came back for a needed long vacation and tried putting a team together for the similar kind of work you do. My main issue with local workers was understanding of time frames and deadlines, and it was a huge problem. Eventually i decided against it and went into something else.
But i'm happy to hear that you enjoying our country!
I will be back in December and if you are around, i would like to met and chat, if it's Ok with you.

Wokring in Uzbekistan..

Post by JansenCorp » Thu Nov 04, 2010 11:25 am

Yes you are right - there is no methodology and if you ask anyone how long they need - they will happily answer "I don't know" or if they give you a lead time, they will have already allocated a buffer before telling you and with everyone adding a buffer - the timeline is unacceptable...

As far as "Scope" Documents are concerned, they think this is something that belongs on the top of a riffle! :)

Like I said - things are like they were in the UK 15 years ago when if you asked a designer to create a site, it would look very beautiful, do nothing and take a fortnight to download and if you asked a coder to do the same task, it would do lot for you - even order the tea probably - but look as interesting as the local phone book! Things have of course evolved and it is our job to move things forward here too.

I have had to do this before in India, start off with a small team of five where the senior coder spends 20% of his time as resident project manager... you build five teams of five and that’s when you employ your first full time project manager and you ensure at least 10% of their time is allocated to an internal project, so that you can redirect them onto client work should (f)it ever hit the (sh)an... It is not so hard, a lot of effort, but very rewarding...

After several years, we had one office we wholly owned and 3 further satellite offices, one in Delhi, one in Pune, Chennai and Gujurati and at its peek over 80 coders and Developers working for the UK and American market...

We are currently localising various tools for the trade for Tashkent, have just taken office near Minor and are currently building our first team of five.

I am officially here until 14th December if that helps and would be delighted to meet-up.

Best wishes,

Darren

More Coders and Designers needed in Tashkent...

Post by JansenCorp » Sat Nov 13, 2010 10:03 am

Hi Dialbat,

Maybe you could get in touch and give me your email address?

I would be grateful if you could help me find more high calibre coders and designers in Tashkent...

Business is picking-up and the learning curve is high, so we need to increase the numbers far quicker than we are achieving right now and any help will of course be welcome.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. =))

Best wishes,

Darren

Hello everybody!

Concerning the Azeri (Azerbaydjan language, Torki), Tatar , Uzbek (Ўзбекча) , Kazakh and Kyrgyz language packs :
the languages of the Turkish groups differ from each other, though the general meaning can be very much alike. Still, for each separate language mentioned above, we need separate translation.
I am currently working with 2 developers to contribute Kazakh and Tatar translators. Maybe we will be happy to have a Tajik translator to join us (though it's Persian group of languages, not turkish).

Everybody have a great new year, we plan to share lang packs in the first decade of January, 2011.
Thank you very much for the attention.
