At approx 9pm GMT 29 August 2005 (Click here to see time conversion) there will be a short period of forum downtime while we move this site to a new server. All the other OSM sites will be moving as well, however they will not experience any downtime. To move the forums and still keep the database in sync we need to disable them during the move.

Thanks for your patience.

No domain name changes yet phil :)  This is purely a transparent hardware move, nothing will change on the websites.

Transparent, LOL  :D Surely this helpful announcement makes it anything but transparent! A job well done, all the same, and very much appreciated by over 2,500 of us! Thanks.

Could such announcements be made in the announcements forum as well???  Keeping track of important stuff like that is *much* easier if you don't have to read every single forum.

Thanks :)

And glad the move went well :)
