Does anyone know how to actually book an event once this component is installed?
There are no instructions that I can find to get site visitors to actually book for an event.
OK with creating an event in the back end and viewing the details of it in the front end.... but now what???
How do you book?

Any help appreciated.

Check your settings. You probably have it set to registered users only. Either sign in or change the settings.

If this is not the case, then check up top, there is a check mark (green). That is the "register" or "submit" button. It took me a while to find it.

There is an option in parameters to show the buttons on the bottom of the form, that is much more user intuitive, i suggest using this option.

You can have buttons top or bottom - and you can change the graphic (the green check is language independent) = I use the word SUBMIT.

Nice component but a bit tricky to figure out.

I'm looking forward to the new release.

I also can not book. There is no booking button. I made sure that unregistered people can book events. I went through and filled out all of the input forms in the back end. But the booking button will not show. Please help.

If you are logged in yourself you might not see the button if you have a setting that the organizer can't book.

You need to install the module which is only available from the developer's site (a little odd but there you go).

Go to http://seminar.vollmar.ws/ and half way down on the right hand side you should find Modul : Version 1.2.2 (Installation und Upgrade)

Hi,
It seemed very suspicious to see message:
"Closing date exceeded".
Now, go to your event and change the exceeding date to be equal to the end date.
Or :) make it to be a date in 2019...

Oh My Goodness! I have been looking all over the place for this very simple answer. It's been 3+ hours now and you have provided the fix to my problem.

Thank You!

I am trying to figure out how to customize the form. For example, how do I change the "BOOK" text as referenced above? I have looked through the settings and the seminar.code.php, seminar.class.php, and seminar.php and don't see it.

Thanks!

I tried to install the module, en-US.mod_Seminar_V1.2.2.zip, but I get an error: "Language Install: No core pack exists for the language :en-US"

My site is in English and when I look at the languages screen, I see this:

1 English(United Kingdom) Site 1.5.15
2 English(United Kingdom) Admin

I'm wondering if the above is en-BG. There is no module for en-GB and when I try to install the EN-US packs from here: http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/en-us/ ... tion=index I get an error that there is no xml setup file, but there is, I can see it if I view the zip file (en-US.xml).

Ideas?

Found it!!!!

I was able to download the entire en-US suite here: http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/jtrans ... se_id=9261 and then my module installed just fine.

Now I supposedly have the component and the module installed, but the module doesn't show up in module manager?

The seminar is a component not a module.
