We are just about finished with it, had a great help from one who replied called Stefán T.
It will be out in a day or two.

But I have some problems with the pdf font, my Foxit Reader crashes when trying to view it in IE. It works in Firefox but Firefox dl the file and then open it in Foxit Reader. Maybe it´s just a problem with Foxit, I will try in Adobe pdf reader

There was no problem with the pdf, it was just a problem with IE. I think Joomla and IE are not good together hehe, both the problem with pdf and IE cuts the legs of texts, like g j p wich Firefox does not

As your project is now pretty well advanced, could you start an Icelandic project on Joomlacode and upload your files there?

Hehe yes it´s avanced.. no icalandic is quite hard to translate to and there are some words that we are having trouble with.. like "Legacy" and some others, but I think we have done a good job translating and error proof it.
The translation will be on joomlacode today, sorry for the delay.

Oh yes I found a bug in translation http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=485&t=265292&p=1203028#p1203028

Packs installs fine and look OK indeed. :)
If you would volunteer to do the installation and back-end files, we would be pleased to welcome you in the Translation workgroup.

Thank you but we have started translating the phpBB3 forum now hehe. Will see if I translate the whole Joomla pack. We are going to put up a Icelandic Joomla site at http://joomla.kjarni.cc and support icelandic comunity with translations of Joomla and popular Joomla extensions as well as phpBB3 and hopefully we get more translators in our group for faster translation time.

Hi RadoX,

Actually I did check your submission for Joomla! Extensions Directory a few days ago. At that time there were no files available at provided URL, so decided to have a look later.
Will check again today ;)

And get back to you in general about Icelandic translation :)

I have downloaded and installed the Icelandic language pack. I had to do it via a page in Icelandic, and could not make out if there is an admin module?
Thanks for the site package, can't comment on it because I can't read it :)

We are almost done with the admin translation then we are putting it to a test with our users before we make it public. Installer is also in transalation process.
It´s going to take some time for us to change the things that needs to be changed to comply with the translation policy, but we do our best to get there asap.

Last post was 2 years ago from "Icelandic Joomla community"
There is no Icelandic Joomla community !
Why is this joomlis.org preventing us from sending Joomla translations too Joomla ?
Joomlis.org has bad translation and have never translated admin or install.
We have translations for Joomla 1.5.21.(and 1.6) Front,Admin and install but we are not going to send it to Joomlis.org.
Joomlis.org has 1.5.14 (terrible translation).I wrote e-mail with some corrections long time ago, but no luck. My English might not be so good but my Icelandic is.

on behalf of Joomlis i would like Joomlis deleted from translations and for new translations.

Reason: we hafe lost interest in translating for Joomla and have moved on to other things.

EDIT: apparently there was some misunderstanding within our group, i belived everyone had lost interest in this but apparently not. Sorry for that.

I remind you folks that this forum is English only, although I could use IMTranslator to understand what you wrote.

Hi
Well, i am not interested in running some kind of Icelandic Joomla community.
My point is: If someone is running translation team, it should be done properly.
I was trying to use the translation from Joomlis when i started but there were so many bad and wrong translations there.
I e-mailed them but never got any comment or anything and the bugs are still there.
Joomla is 5 years old and Joomlis is at least 2 years old, but Admin translation is still "coming soon".
Bottom line is: If you are running translation team, DO IT. If you are not going to translate, Don´t run translation team.
How to do it properly: http://www.svenskjoomla.se/
I am not going to send Joomlis my translation to "correct". Joomla is free (as in free speech)
We will look at the translations we have and e-mail it to Joomla.org, (soon)

Sorry but i don´t have time to correct my English.
