Suggest to copy/link my initial post to Joomla 1.6 forum as well since it is platform independent

Have you considered writing/adding this to the docs.joomla.org site, and then we can link to in from many more places?

When I have time I will do...Good suggestion

@ Mandville: Can you set it "sticky" before it drops down the order till I have added this properly to the documentation (assuming if I can find out how to do it ;-) )

@Leo, I found a few days ago (maybe it's been a week or two now) that it's really easy:

1. Register as a Wiki user

To be able to add information to the Wiki, you need to register as a user:
http://docs.joomla.org/index.php?title= ... ype=signup

2. Getting started - learn the basics

To learn how to use the Wiki - start by reading….
Quick cheatsheet on formatting content for the wiki - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Wiki_markup

3. How to add a page

There’s still a lot of documentation that we don’t have! - we’ve compiled a large list of Joomla! 1.6 documentation pages that still need created or worked on for Joomla! 1.6 users. See one you can help with? That’s simple! <then list steps below, since they will be the same>
To add a page to the Wiki ….

1 - log in with your wiki account
2 - Create a new page by ‘visiting’ the URL. If no page exists for the URL, you’ll be taken to the editor where you can start creating the page.

4. How to edit a page

To edit an existing page….
1 - log in
2 - click on the edit tab at the top of the article you want to edit. NOTE: Please fill in the comment box below the editing window for reference by other editors

The Joomla 1.6 documentation page is here:
http://docs.joomla.org/Category:Joomla!_1.6

5. Common Wiki tags

To learn more about using and editing the Wiki:
http://docs.joomla.org/Help:Contents
Please read the Joomla! Editorial Style Guide (http://help.joomla.org/files/Editorial% ... v1.0.5.pdf) and have a look at our list of Words to Watch (http://docs.joomla.org/JDOC:W2W).

You can also check out the Wikipedia Cheat Sheet:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Cheatsheet

Hope this helps! :)

Kind regards,
Nick

Nick,
Thanks for the information. I am fully aware on "howto" and the links you gave. Appreciate the effort and hope that others can work with it. I was rather jokingly stating "assuming if I can find out how to do it" It does has a "wink"
