A suggestion for version 1.6 documentation

Even though I've never created any extension more advanced than a template with some custom module chrome, I've found the API reference for version 1.5 indispensable. So I would like to see something like that for 1.6, but if possible with the added feature that for every class, method, etc., there would be a list (with links, natch) of all the core Joomla scripts that call it.

That would be really great.

Hi David,

I'd love to get the 1.6 API Reference off the ground, but time is not on our side at present.

Cross-referencing from the CMS to the Framework is something that is currently out of scope anyway, mainly because it is something that phpDocumentor couldn't cope with. Which is not to say that it's a bad idea, just that it is beyond our current capabilities.
