The Joomla! Community Magazine (JCM) publishes resources, reviews, news, and insights with an emphasis on the positive things happening in the Joomla! project and its community. It is a platform for informing about what can be accomplished with Joomla!, for allowing community members to share their stories and connect with each other, and for promoting better understanding between project leadership and the community. It highlights the contributions of community volunteers, and provides information about different opportunities to support the Joomla! project and its community.

The JCM is always welcomes volunteer contributors from members of our community. Here are some of the ways you can get involved:

  • Community authors: All community members are invited to submit articles on their experience with Joomla!, whenever they want, and in whatever language they want (as long as the JCM has an international editor in that language to review and edit it).

English authors can learn more about how to become an author here: http://magazine.joomla.org/join-joomla-magazine

Non-english authors can submit their articles here: http://magazine.joomla.org/International-stories-all/Submit-an-Article-in-Your-Language

  • International editors: Did you know that the JCM publishes articles every month in other languages besides english? As of June 2011, the JCM has volunteers who review and edit articles in 22 different languages. Volunteer as a JCM International editor if you would like to have your non-english language added to the list, and then you will review and edit articles submitted in your language. If you are interested in helping in this role, please send an email to magazine@community.joomla.org.
  • Contributing authors: Write articles on a variety of subjects. You can pick a subject that you are interested in, or ask others on the JCM team to suggest subjects. If you are interested in helping in this role, please send an email to magazine@community.joomla.org.
  • Project News "beat writers": We want JCM team members who will seek out news in all areas of the project and submit summaries for a monthly "Project news" feature. If you are interested in helping in this role, please send an email to magazine@community.joomla.org.
  • Editors: Take charge of an existing JCM topic, or propose a new one. It is hoped that editors will recruit authors and article submissions, promote and evangelize their topic in the community, edit articles submitted for their topic, and if they wish they can also write articles for their topic. If you are interested in helping in this role, please send an email to magazine@community.joomla.org.
  • Promotions/Marketing team: Help promote the JCM throughout the Joomla! community as well as on other websites. If you are interested in helping in this role, please send an email to magazine@community.joomla.org.
