If you don't update JRequest the error is no surprise. The function mentioned was only added in 1.6.4. The bank page puzzles me to be honest.

Could you put this one on the issue tracker? May be a problem with the FTP mode.

I unzipped the package to upgrade from 1.6.3 to 1.6.4. I then copied the resulting files to the corresponding directories on my installation. Unfortunately, I copied MANY files to the /administrator/component sub-directories instead of to the /component sub-directories. Of course, I overwrote files I did not want to overwrite.

My site still works (for now) even though I now have files scattered around my installation in the wrong directories and am missing files that I overwrote. I cannot login to my backend. I get the error message:

Fatal error: __clone method called on non-object in /homepages/32/d90593143/htdocs/Joomla/administrator/components/com_content/models/articles.php on line 491

Of course, articles.php is one of the files in this directory that I mistakenly overwrote. I'd love to simply use my site backup to restore and start over, but how can I do this when I cannot access my site backend?

I'd love some help from someone who knows a lot more about all this than I do.

Ray

Hi,

I am looking for someone to upgrade my 1.5.17 to the newest version 1.7 (stable) in about 2-3 weeks. I am a "bit" confused as I don't know much about Joomla and I just noticed that the Virtue Mart needs upgrading/updating too, it is version 1.1.4 .
I am having problems with new added products not showing up on the public site under the "Product details", giving the following:
" Error: Sorry, but the Product you've requested wasn't found!"

I am also kindly asking for a quote.

VirtueMart hasn't yet released a stable version with support for Joomla 1.6+. I hold off on updating your site until they do.

same update problem with 1.6.1 to 1.6.4, get a blank site.

so i update by ftp the site and then update again with Joomla_1.6.3_to_1.6.4-Stable-Patch_Package.tar.bz2 48.7 Kb .

not user friendly but works.
