jomsocial blank profile page

i recently started hosting my site a new server that has been notorious for having weird permission rules that in turn make me have to manually change the permissions of certain folders to get my site to work.

so i have joomla 1.7 (fresh install) with jomsocial 2.2.4 and everything seems to be working except if you log into the account, and you click on the profile button from the Jomsocial menu tab - the page goes blank..

I'm sure there is a folder permission file causing this error - any idea what and where would cause this?

Blank pages are normally php errors. goto global config->server-error reporting and set it to normal. Reload the page and see what comes up. Dont worry about warnings, just look for "PHP Fatal:" You can then work from there.

thanks so much!! turned out it was a JMC plugin "my albums" causing all the trouble ;/
