The tinyMCE editor does not work in Joomla 1.7. I cannot insert images, article breaks, cannot format text and have only a very limited number of options even showing up.

Is anyone else finding the same? Could anyone give me some assistance is getting this going?

Thanks so much!
Katherine

It was posted on another subforum:

Go to PLugin Manager, Open 'Editor - TinyMCE', and under its Basic Options set Functionality to Extended.

does not work on a fresh install of joomla 1.7 AND 1.65, 1.63. 1.61 and 1.57. code just gets deleted at will. copy and paste function does not work well... cannot use the tinymce style id that they use in the code. not valid css. puts a border-width: initial initial; in every document so i spent hours going back through with code mirror and deleting it all manually. code mirror does nothing to your code and you do not have to deal with all this extended settings garbage. unfortunately i need to have an editor for my clients. i have tried other editors on the earlier versions but they all had serious cons. i have also tried alternative templates etc :pop
