cannot remove Gantry template framework

cannot remove Gantry template framework

I just installed the gantry template framework onto my local installation of J17 and had a problem when I got to the where the Gantry control panel should be.
See attached image to see what I saw.
I think I installed the wrong bundle of gantry. I think what I ended up installing is the rocket launcher that has joomla also combined all in one installation.
Well now I want to get rid of it and I cannot seem to get rid of it. It has this 'Master' tag attached to it in the Template manager that I have never seen before and when I try to remove it I get an error related to this Master tag. See second image
