sorry! i got stumble upon some work yesterday.
so @gmolop what do you suggest?

Try this new one...
Code:
function hideFoxForm(){
   var theForm = document.getElementById("FoxForm"); // Set the FoxForm Form...
   var theDiv = theForm.getElementsByTagName("div"); // All the div's in the Form...
   var divNum = theDiv.length - 1; // How many div's are...
   var i=0;
   for (i=0;i<=divNum;i++) // Loop through all div's...
   {
      var theLink = theDiv[i].innerHTML; // Get content of each...
      if (theLink.search("http://www.fox.ra.it/")!=-1)
      {theDiv[i].style.display="none";} // If the link is found, that div will hide!
   }
}
hideFoxForm();

cool :)
it works 100%, till date.
never thought it to be like that. i mean never saw it could be done the way around.
was thinking that it's just div tag, somewhere in the php files. but got to know it's a small piece of code that author put on his component.

Thank! you very much @gmolop

Well, i don't like the owner of the fox contact either. otherwise 10 euro is not a big deal. i could have paid easily. but there is something called customer and salesman relationship which foxcontact doesn't know about.

I'm glad it works!
and nothing .. anything you need, if I can help, I'll be there.

For the other thing you comment about the developer of the form
I really don't know, I have not dealt with him directly, but if it is true that I have read several similar opinions, which does not speak well of him.
But again, just what I read ... nothing more.

I think effectively a free application, may contain advertising or backlink, but in which case it should or could offer a paid version.
What I never liked (I am user of Android and this is seen a lot) is to make a free application and offer to remove the advertising (or whatever is used) by a 'donation' ...

If I want to donate, I will do it with pleasure ..
If I have to pay, I will if I can and/or need ..

But donate by 'obligation' to remove any impediment .. does not seem right to me at all.

Sure it doesn't seem right. But don't you think you could have asked to me more information about this?
I am interested in your opinion. Users' opinion is important for me.
But please, give a positive contribution: rather than telling what you do not want, tell what do you want!
How would you like the program license to be? I am open to every suggestions (if compatible with my needs).

My needs follow:
I am currently without a work, due to staff reduction in my company.
I like write php code, but as every other humans do, I need eating something, sometimes. Approximately everyday.
End of my needs.

Every time you publish copyright removal instructions like now, my revenues decrease near to zero (And note that removing copyright notes from a GPL 3 software is illegal. For further info see section 7/b of GPL 3 license).
This demonstrates that "People who really want to donate, will not do it until forced." or "People who really want to donate, choose to don't do it if they can."
(Except for a very few people which donated in past before my backlink system, but I'm sure that they are not following this post).

How much time do you think I can spend hiding deeply and deeply copyright notes? Not very much, because I'm tired and you are too skilled.
I'd like to spend my time coding new feature that many people are requiring.

So please tell your suggestion.
Do you prefer I explicit mark the extension as "commercial"?
Do you prefer I change the "Donate button" to "Pay" or "Buy"?
Do you prefer I stop writing php code and become a carpenter?
Do you prefer I clearly distinct the two versions as Artio JoomSEF do? Example: "Download full featured paid version", and "Download non-profit backlinked version"?
Semantic. Is it really this your problem? Are you sure?

Every suggestion is welcome, if it's genuine.
I'd like to find a distribution terms that allow me to earn enough to let me survive and continue writing joomla extensions.
I believe you'd like to have and easy extension that simplify your life.
Why don't we find a solution together rather than waste out time?

well, i do believe what you said right now is your very opinion. i wish you could have acted the same when dealing with the customers too. Most people doesn't like the back-link even if it is free. provide the option to keep or remove the backlink on your product. don't force users to use it just because you are providing the product for free and asking for the money to remove them as a donation.
People do donate money to or whom they admire or like the work of.
I myself don't like it when people don't give the proper credit to the work. but you know, what i don't like the most is people who are too desperate or trying to be one just because they want to prove that they are doing it only to serve other people, which is clear that you are not.
You want to earn money from your product so be it like that way, make it paid give proper support to the users, take your valuable time and spend it on improving it like no other can. Be the best in what you are. and i will happily buy. Actually i will be the first to buy your product if you let me know that you have done so.
IF you don't please don't force people to donate money just to remove the backlink.
see what i want to say is that donation and contribution are two different words. You can't mix the whole world in one.
People out there think that you are trying to provide a new platform to other where they can get things for free and can be better off with it. If they think that they can provide you a backlink to your product believe me they will.
i myself can do it, just because i am angry doesn't mean that i don't like you or something. The thing is that please don't mix the two different world - "Free for all" and "Only for money".

if i could i would have provided a free platform where users will get every possible thing for free. But i am at the beggining stage of learning the coding [censored], so i think i will have to wait to actually do that. trust me if i ever get to know as much as you do about coding things, i will do it. and i will let you know.

Hope i didn't say something which i shouldn't. I am so sorry for that. You know we can actually talk sometime :)

If you like this whole post can be deleted. and i think must be aware that other people can get rid of it easily if they know what the code is saying. (i hope you know what i mean)

so make it a paid version or provide it for free to all :)

btw, i like your kid, he looks so cute.

I quite agree. Especially "Free for all" and "Only for money" can't be mixed, so I am thinking on a different distribution approach.
I don't want to change distribution terms to "only paying people can download", because this would cut off non-profit organizations and other users that are not disturbed by the copyright information.
Currently they are a lot (tens of thousands).
So I am thinking on a "sponsor mechanism" to cover costs.
Let me a couple of weeks.
In the meantime, I hope all of you will accept my excuse, because after our discussion donations are increased. This demonstrates that I was wrong. People are able to make genuine donations even if they aren't forced.

Hi All,

I have found a solution, this works and is server side scripting.

Goto: components/com_foxcontact/views/foxcontact/tmpl/default.php

Line 59: is written echo $this->FormText;

change this to "echo(str_replace("powered by fox contact", "",$this->FormText));"

Code:
if (!empty($this->FormText)) { ?>
<form enctype="multipart/form-data" id="FoxForm" name="FoxForm" class="foxform" method="post" action="<?php echo(FGetLink(NULL, "#cid_" . $cid));?>">
<!-- <?php echo("com_" . $this->_name . " " . $xml['version']); ?> -->
<?php echo(str_replace("powered by fox contact", "",$this->FormText)); ?>
</form>

The text is now removed completely, as the code was added to the "$this->FormText" somewhere within the View and Controller element of the component. By removing the code with the default.php file their is no further actions which are made apart from to the send this text to the display function.

This one works effectively.

Have fun,

David

just to let you know, that didn't work, he must have updated it or something. I'm intermediate with code and he keeps circumventing anything that the community does to get around it. How about the Redaction plugin, does it work? what rule should I put in. Please help!!!!!!

I used this extension once and in order to remove the backlink and junk styling, I completely translated the obfuscated code present. I say "obfuscated" because it's just converted to ascii characters, no encryption is present. It takes some time, but with a little search/replace, you can completely un-obfuscate the code. After you're done removing the obfuscation, you can seriously improve the code that's present - making it way more efficient!

I don't feel comfortable posting the result after cleaning it up, so I'll just say that I'm planning on writing my own when I have the time, and releasing it without the backlinks and other junk styling and building it with full MVC structure which includes the potential for output overrides.

Sorry pitt, but no. You can message me after you get enough forum cred to do so, and I'll still not distribute the changes I made to foxcontact.

You can, however, find me in the JED and watch my extension list.

I'm not sure how long you guys have spent trying to hack this code. How much of your time is worth 10 Euros?

Just donate, get the extension without the back-link, use it on as many websites as you want, problem solved.

....

Methinks part of the fascination is working out how do do it rather than try to avoid paying.

The Free is free to distribute or modify not the author must give it away free.

Many people believe that the spirit of the GNU Project is that you should not charge money for distributing copies of software, or that you should charge as little as possible — just enough to cover the cost. This is a misunderstanding.

Actually, we encourage people who redistribute free software to charge as much as they wish or can. If this seems surprising to you, please read on.....

I think if you want to use these great tools as toys then there's no reason a back link would be an issue.

Ok, guys
Here is solution for everyone. It is simple, everyone is happy. You don't delete any links from your website like developer wants. And non of visitors of your sites see any back links.

1. Make a picture of your website background big enough to cover the backlink
2. Upload it in your images folder (where all your main images for websites stored)
3. Name it whatever you want, in my example it's blank_picture.png (my background is pure white so it's simple for me, coz i've made white image)
4. Just go into your components/com_foxcontact/foxcontact.php
5. At the very bottom below the code just put this simple html code: <img src="images/blank_picture.png" alt="Picture" height="400px" width="400px" style="margin-top: -250px; margin-left: 700px;" />
6. Save your file (foxcontact.php)
7. Get yourself nice cold beer and enjoy your website with no backlinks :pop
8. Tell me how good I am :p

PS. You can always change height of your image, just to readjust it, make it smaller, shift it around.

Good luck!

Very strange. Can you see the image at all on your contact form? If you can that will be easy for you to shift it around to cover the link. The image will always be on top completely covering link.
May be your image is white and you can't see it, use temporarily visible image just to adjust it on the contact form

This is what I would be most interested in. I will be watching and waiting. Anything that makes the code cleaner is better. Back link or not!

Just my opinion, any one who is developing a website and wants to use/copy/borrow a feature found on another website, is capable of looking at the source and finding what they need. Put your back link/shamless self promotion in a comment
Code:
<!-- I am the greatest, check me out at http://www.starlingdesign.ca/ -->

I would pay the 10 Euros if I knew better what I was getting. Sloppy coding and business practices has led me to wait on this one.

I might consider that. What bothers me most is when it's generated in the output, visible, and the author attempts to make it difficult to remove. All it does is slow me down - and I don't want to be that guy. I want fast, functional and efficient.

For me, my extensions are public coding examples. I'm less interested in selling access to my extensions than letting potential employers or clients see what I'm capable of doing for them.

As was previously mentioned by Webdongle, I could - under the license - redistribute. I choose not to because I would then open myself up to support requests. All the original developer needs to do is alter his obfuscation and I will receive a flood of messages asking "how do I do it now?" So, when I release my alternative, it will be my code which I will be happy to support - because it will be clearly written and sane.

It's not encrypted, it's UTF-8 encoded. Very easy to decode, just time consuming...
