mainbody is misaligned and I cant fix. See picture. Help

Post by sediaz » Sat Nov 05, 2011 1:23 am

I'm having a problem with my site in Firefox. If you go to http://www.videotutorialzone.com you will see the mainbody text is misaligned.

I've included a snapshot as it's not doing it on ALL computers. Not sure why a portable version of Firefox is showing properly and so is IE.

Can someone take a look and offer some help?

Thanks in advanced.

Scott

I do see it on my Windows XP using Firefox. I cannot offer any reason that might help explain it.

I've seen something similar before - but I'm not on a windows machine so can't be sure.

Does your menu happen to wrap to a second line? if so ensure your menu sticks to one line and all will be well. Just checked and your last item is under the home link 'seo and web consulting'

To reduce the size of the menu you can:
a) remove items
b) reduce the size of each item, remove the odd word
c) adjust the css to reduce padding/margin around them so they all fit on one line.

As a quick test - unpublish one or more top level menu items and see if that fixes it.

Thanks Dean,

I shortened the Menu Item names and that seemed to have worked.

Thanks for the help. That was driving me crazy. I stared at that forever.

Glad to help. It is just something I've seen on my travels.
