I was wondering where I can go and get the default templates for joomla 1.73. I inadvertently uninstalled the templates for the front end & I would like to reinstall them to do some testing.

Thanx tracy

You can use the template folders of a Joomla 1.7.3 download.

In the folder where you installed Joomla (htdocs) there is a folder templates with all the templates you installed. That's where the templates have to go.

understanding that but when extracting the templates, I do not know how to just extract that folder cause when I hit extract the whole 1.7.3 wants to extract and I am afraid I will loose what work I have done cause it would be like a new install would it not??
I apologize but I am a bit new to this part. If was to my server I know how to do that part.

Extract the files to some other temporary folder and copy the template folders from there.

You might have to "discover" the templates if you just copy the folders to the templates folder.
