Changing or updating the migration from 1.5 page

Should updates to this doc page be made? we don't encourage 1.6 or support for it and any downloads of 1.6 files are rather hidden.

I think it would be better and less confusing to users if references to 1.6 were removed from the page.

You may not support or encourage its use, but I think people will still be using it. Just like even with software like IPB3 and vB4, people still use IPB2 and vB 3.x even if unsupported people will continue to use them due to some person choice or something else.

I would say encourage them to NOT use 1.6 but you're not going to stop everyone so long as it's still available.

The migration page says nothing about the currently supported and suggested 1.7.xx version. When we send people to the page (or they click on the link on the downloads page) as a how to migrate to 1.7 from 1.5, they get confused as the information was written specifically for migrating to 1.6 even though the procedures are the same for 1.7. Since Joomla officially does not encourage the use of version 1.6, are officially sending people to the page for a how to migrate from 1.5, the limited support available within the forums for version 1.6, I think we should rewrite the page to reflect version 1.7 so people will not be confused.

Ah, I see. I must've misunderstood you. If that's the case then I agree, editing the page would definitely be useful.

I should have been more specific in the original posting about why I was asking the question.

It seems obvious that it needs done. So what has to happen to get it done? Who is allowed to edit the page?
