Hi,
I new to joomla and creating a website and web application using joomla. the looks are all fine. still i had working experience in drupal before. the thing is when we need or customized each and every page will be our own styles and php codes. we just create and add new file page1.tpl.php, page2.tpl.php,..etc, the correspond page will redirect to page1 and page2. so we can easily customize our internal pages.

But in joomla how can we do it..?? how can we customized it.?? in joomla I'm using the theme named rhuk_milkyway, and i had only one file named index.php and all the contents are only redirected from the name of respective file. so we didn't get chance to customized it.. i think its a great drawback for joomla. Is there any way to do this please do let me know..!!

Any help will be greatly appreciated from freshers and all participants in joomla family.

(I hope and expect the many reply soon from members...)

Thanks
Mubarak

Muba,

Since you'r a Fresher i strongly recommend you instead of using any existing Template, you should rather play with Default Joomla Template.

I can not believe that you missed on this Amazing Tutorial:

http://docs.joomla.org/Creating_a_basic ... !_template

Remember, there are no shortcuts to creativity unless you dirty your hands on. It took me more than 2 months to be a Designer that i can take Designing Project from oDesk.

Please follow the tutorial, do the things and learn rather then start doing Advanced steps, start from Scratch. As i said, There are no shortcut to creativity.

If you have specific questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Regards,
Natasha T.

Note: The new Joomla 2.5 has even more options for alternative layouts. You should use it for new projects.
