Re: User Grouphttp://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=576&t=
as detailed on the 4th december in http://people.joomla.org/groups/viewgro ... -help.html
-----------------------------------
Due to some technical issues with the groups, we are with immediate effect, disabling the group creation option.
This wil enable the moderation team to review the group situation and the rules concerning groups.
As there is likely to be a group for every circumstance now, any new group request will have to be made on a case by case basis, and may take up to 7 days for the moderation team to complete.

Re: User Groups
Hi Mandville,
Forgive me if I may just have missed it, but after reviewing all the links referenced on this forum and the PJO site, for those of us that are wanting to submit/create a PJO group for a new Joomla User Group, what is the best way for us to do this while the group creation feature is turned off?
When filling out the JUG directory listing form it asks us for the JUG group page on PJO, so I can see this would cause some confusion for others.
Could you please let us know your preferred method for these requests?
Thanks
Mike Carson

Re: User Groups
You do not need to have a pjo group to apply for registered jug, if you do not have an active website then you can request in http://people.joomla.org/groups/viewdis ... ?groupid=7
for a group
for a group

Re: User Groups
But at the application page of JUG Registered, there is a field with that description:
"...If you have not setup a group on the J!People site for your JUG, your application or updates will not be approved."
Did I miss something? Or should we have to create a group before applying for JUG?
Thanks...

Re: User Groups
As Mandvile said, there is no longer a requirement to have a PJO group, as can be seen in the http://community.joomla.org/user-group- ... klist.html
Also to note is that any application or site not meeting OSM Trademark Compliance requirements
I will get that form edited so that it makes it clearer.Minimum Requirements for Submission:
2 different contacts and 2 unique email addresses
People.Joomla.Org group (named the same as the JUG) or a website detailing your User Group
Also to note is that any application or site not meeting OSM Trademark Compliance requirements
will probably have their listing rejected. If you are using the Joomla! name or any of the Joomla! logos, images or site content you must comply with the following for approval of their use
means that you can not be called Joomla User group Turkey or Joomla User group South Africa or Joomla User group Europe as an examplecountry names will no longer be allowed.
JUG Team - Is yours Registered and Legit
