Hi,

I upgraded an site from 1.5. (jUpgrade) to 1.7.2 to 1.7.3 all worked, no errors, no tags got stripped. In backend as Super Admin.

Today I upgraded from 1.7.3 to 2.5.0 and ALL html tags and any formatting got stripped on each article I edited. Disabling TinyMCE did NOT solve the issue, the tags got stripped out and all formatting was lost. >:(

Solution: The solution was to disable the textfilter in the configuration - the setting was "standard blacklist". I set that to "no filtering" and it worked again. Now i switched back to "standard blacklist" and it is WORKING???

Any idea why this happens? On two other sites where I moved from 1.7.3 to 2.5.0 this did not happen.

greets

Hi guys,

so I'm not the only one, good to know. Maybe this is a PHP 5.2.x issue? What PHP versions are you running?
(Just wondering because the error did not occur on two PHP 5.3.x installations)

I filed a bug report here:

I had the same problem. Switching the text filters in global configuration twice fixed it.

I have tested and discovered that you only have to go to the "Global Configuration" and then click directly on the "Save" button to update the configuration to update/create the new configuration parameters for the new system.

I ran into the same issue, and reverted back to 1.7 to save my html work until I learned more. Are these text filter options only in 2.5? Or am I missing where they are in 1.7?

It sounds like I have to re-upgrade, then find these text filter options and save them per your findings, and I won't lose any html on my next edits. Is that correct? Thanks for your guidance!
