Hi,
I want to migrate from 1.5.20 to 1.5.25.

Apparently, the only thing I need to do, is to copy the unpacked files via FTP towards my server.
This seems a bit too simple towards my feeling. What about the Mysql-database? What about configuration files? etc.

So do I understand this correctly?

That's correct. You could create a back-up (files + database) before doing so.

The configuration.php is not in Joomla's .zip file, so your old configuration.php with your MySQL database settings will remain on the server.

Hi can you please point to the joomla upgrade file to download for this upgrade?

I would like to upgrade joomla 1.5.20 to 1.5.25!

Welcome to Joomla forum!

I don't think that there is any 1.5.20 -> .25 upgrade package.
But you can use Joomla_1.5.25-Stable-Full_Package.zip from http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla ... ge_id=6159
Unzip + upload (except for the /installation/ directory) all files.

Just did it. Worked a treat :)

Was upgrading from 1.5.20 to 1.5.25 and I just dragged and dropped all the files from the ZIP of 1.5.25 version to my 1.5.20 version. Worked fine. No MySQL work needed.

Now to migrate to 2.5 :(
