I'm very confusing because, I'm responsible for a big project to an official center,

I Loved joomla so I started working with downloading a free template .
and it was amazing but I'm very scared because of the copy right issue .

if its a free template then I remove the copy right on the footer is it a problem?
if yes, whats the safest way to publish my web site with saving all the copy rights , to stay away from any legal accountability :( ??

please advise I'm lost

The owner of the template copyright has the right to tell you whether you must leave his copyright text on the template or not. I fail to see why you would not want to give credit for a template to the person who actually designed it anyway, especially if you are not paying anything for that template. It is the least you could do. Free means you do not have to pay to use it, it does not necessarily mean you can do as you please with it.

I want to remove the copy right because I want it to be official because its for university :(

any way I decide to find a good template and pay for it .Thanks
