Google indexes the most important pages of your site, according to the spider :) . Try to add you site to webmasters' tools, there you can control what to be indexed. Also do not forget to submit your sitemap there...

If you want to prevent Google or any other search engine from indexing some special pages or folders of your website, you should use add it to your robots.txt file. In Google webmaster tools, you can generate robots.txt file for your website according to your needs without need of writing codes and having information about structure of codes in robots.txt. Make a robots.txt file for your website using it and then upload it to your website.

To deal with robots.txt file, just download one like this one and upload to root if your site. It can be exact the same one.

The Google Indexed Pages Checker is an excellent tool that can help developers to determine how many of their web pages have been indexed by Google.

If you want to remove that page from the index, you could add the noindex and nofollow tags.
If you need some help with that, please pm me.

You have an option to remove page from search engine by using Goggle webmaster tool. You have total control to see your website in search engine. Its search engine job to crawl all pages of your site. Make an effective robots.txt file and tell search engine to not crawl page and files that you don't want share in search engine. But now you have only one option by removing particular page from Google by following Google webmaster tool

Sitemaps are vital in webmaster tools. They are the blueprint of your website. The Xmap extension for Joomla is so easy to use with webmaster tools.

You should look into robots.txt, you should be filtering what search engines can search for and what they can't.

The best way is to redirect the indexed page to your desired page. You can redirect using .htaccess file which is uploaded to the root of your webserver.

You Can make this problem solved by denotation of the sitelinks in Google Webmaster tools!! And this can be solved within the next crawl period of Google!
