Hello all,
If I search for my site in Google, it comes up at the top (lovely), but I get an odd 'sub link' underneath.
You can see in the attached image. Can any of you guys help with this?
Thanks in advance.
Nick.

With Google Webmaster Tools you can 'demote' any link, login to your account - under Site configuration click on Sitelinks, then enter the URL you want to remove from your listings.
That simple, if you don't have a Webmaster account you will need to create one.

Do you have any idea how long it takes demote sitelinks to stop showing up in search results?

Re: Odd individual link under Google search results.
I've read posts on Google where people have talked about how long it took for links to be demoted. They seem to say three weeks is about right.
The demoted link can come back after three months, Google allow you one hundred demotions - there is probably a long term plan for this, don't just keep demoting!

Yeah unfortunately I have sitelinks for my webpage that are very irrelevant. Things like old blog posts, and even links to the mobile page. Will be glad when they are removed.

Hi Harvey51,
May I suggest internal link building?
Link to your most important pages, directories or sub-directories.
Focus the anchor texts around the target keyword phrases on the target page in exact match.
This will lead to more relevant and "correct" sitelinks.
Everything else should be denoted in Google Webmaster Tools.
