JCE / HTML Editor not saving changes

I'm trying to insert an image at the top left of an article, have some padding around the image, have the text start at the top right of the image and flow down the right side of the image and then fill the remaining text as normal.

When I try to edit the code by clicking the HTML icon in JCE and enter the following code :

<p><img src="images/stories/ispc038009.jpg" styel="float: right; margin: 4px 20px 0 0;" />

and click Update, it doesn't update. Returning to the HTML view shows the code was not saved.

Just as an aside, using FF 3.01, when I click HTML, the FF window changes to what looks like 800x600. Anybody know how to fix that as well.

Never Mind -

Realized that if I click on the 'show'hide' text that is top left of the icon bar it displays the HTML which accepts and saves my changes.

which " show/hide text " button ??

I dont see that.. mine is also not saving this change, I have also tried clicking the insert image button and setting the margin in the " appearance " tab.

I don't have the show/hide link either. I'm trying to edit the style in the appearance tab - or in the html window, but it doesn't save in either case. All other changes are saved with no problem. Any ideas?

Having issue with JCE in Safari 5.0.3 as well. All text is hidden, toggling show/hide does not work either. I am using JCE 1.5.7.6 and J! 1.5.22 at the moment. Any ideas how to remedy this? Under Chrome 9.0.597.84 beta I can unhide text by clicking show hide oddly enough. Mootools 1.2.4 does not help either. keep on getting these errors after loading JCE TinyMCE under Virtuemart and clicking hide/show:

Just noticed this error on Joomla 1.5.25, JCE 1.5.7.14 and Chrome 17

Any fixes or configuration changes to avoid?

Never found one. And just reverted to using other browsers. If you do find a solution, do tell me.
