Link in subject renders 500-error

Link in subject renders 500-error

We have/had an idiot in this forum posting dozens of spam links with am html-link as subject line

All these posts render:
General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

MySQL server has gone away [2006]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.
Do we have an option to disable http links in the subject line or render this impossible?
