Can anyone help me please?

I have a main hosting account and a second domain which has been mapped to the first.

My question is - how can I google verify my second site, when I have already verified the main hosting account?

Many thanks

When you say 'mapped' do you mean forwarded ?

Who is the Registrar of the second Domain name ? Some Registrars allow https://support.google.com/webmasters/b ... wer=176792
You can find instructions by clicking the 'Alternative Methods' tab.

I have built the website at one domain, and then I bought a second domain that contained more keywords and forwarded this to the original.

Both domains point to the same website, but I cannot use google webmaster tools on the second domain.

I'll try what you have suggested. Thankyou.

...

If they are both pointing at the same website then you do not need to forward either of them. If your Hosting package is supporting both Domain names then in the Host's CP set each Domain name with your Joomla root folder as their target. Not sure if you can validate both Domain names when they are both pointing at the same DNS that points to the same root folder. One verification would cancel out the other.

I took advice from my hosting account and they advised me to go into DNS section and add code there. It worked and I now am verified.
