 Post subject: J 2.5 Hung Up on Step 4

I can't get past Step 4 on my Joomla 2.5 Install. It just gets hung up. No error message and all the information is correct. I have installed many a Joomla site before and never run into a problem with this. Any ideas?

Step 4 on the database configuration for the Joomla Install.

My host is DreamHost.com. I never had any problems with them prior to this point.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

If you are getting hung up on database part of install, then make sure your database credentials are correct; eg, username, db, host, password.

Makes sense, but I did that. I purposefully entered bad info to check it. When I enter bad info it clearly gives me an error message. When I enter only the right info the circling arrow deal in the middle of the screen almost endlessly displays until finally it disappears and the page remains unchanged as if nothing had happened.

If you can, create a new database and user and try that. If that doesn't work, contact your host. They can probably see the errors in the logs.
