images are blurry in BEEZ no matter what I do

Hi All

I am using BEEZ for the first time - nice template. But my images are all blurry no matter what I do. I've done many websites and never had this priblem. I usually do them as .png but on this site, fuzzy wuzzy!! I've tried .jpeg, .gif, but still fuzzy. The size is correct, everything is as it should be but its like there is a thin film over everything.
Does anyone know whay this is happening? Its driving me nuts!!

PS I am using joomla 1.5.25, never had this issue before.

If your images are fuzzy, it is unlikely that it has anything to do with the beez template. I have used beez template and there is nothing in it that would make images fuzzy. I would guess something on your end; photo app, screen, etc, but not css in template.

Do not resize images on the page.
The logo image is displayed at 759x120.
Actual image is 1,417px × 224px.

Resizing, especially to a non-multiple size, is going to display a "blurry" image.

The image of the girl is just blurry on the original.

Hi and thanks very much for that. I will resize all images to exact display size and see how that goes.
With regard to the girl on the page, that is crystal clear in photoshop but blurry in the website. Thats why I said it seemed to have a 'folm' over it. I'm also wondering if it is something to do with the template - although I cant see how - as I have never had this trouble before. Even with the slide show ont he home page, I have used that in many other websites and never had this trouble.

'tis truely a mystery to me. I sure hope the (lack of) resizing helps.

Well, duh.
That statement is just so out-there I can only shake my head . . . no other response.

Back to the title of this thread, the quality of the images has nothing to do with the template.

so thats why I clarified that the original WAS clear.....duhhhhhhh.
