Hello,

I'm using Joomla 1.7 and Virtuemart 2.02 in catalog mode. Because my site uses serveral languages (Dutch, French and English), I want my catalog to use the same languages.

When I input the text in Dutch, everything works fine, but than when I try to add the French or English text, I recieve an error: "No FR translation in product (category), please fill in the fields with a flag".

After I fill in these fields; I try to save. Joomla tells me everything has been saved correctly, but when I return to the product, the changes have dissapeared.

Any tips on how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Best regards

You can find answers for this problem in the Virtuemart forum. In most cases it's a conflict between VM2 and some editiors like the JCE editor. Workarounds are switching to the TinyMCE editor or temporarily set your frontend site language to the language in which you want to add a translation of your product description.

Hello JK1 and thanks for your answer.

I already use the TinyMCE editor.

The strange this is when I create a product in my backand and enter text for several languages, the text is saved in my SQL database. When I return to the product in my backend, the text isn't shown, eventhough it is in my backend.

PS I already asked this on Virtuemart forum, but no response so far.

Best regards
