Hello,

I would like to insert and then change automatically a language meta tag into the template, which automatically changes when the content is shown in either German or English. (I am using JoomFish for the translations.)

Does such a tool (or rather a plugin) exist? What can I do to get such a procedure implemented? Does the language setting of the articles is enough? (When you edit the content, it is possible to enter a language.)

Thanks for your help,
best regards
Kelley

Replies can either be German or English. Thanks.

Hi Kelley1995,

When using JoomFish you can actually translate the metainformation for the global site description and keyword and metainformation for the individual articles.

For global you would do that in JoomFish language config.
Components->JoomFish->Languages->Click 'Config' at right for the given language.
Translate and save.

For articles you would fill in metainformation for the standard article in
Content->Articles->'The individual article' and add Meta at the parameteres at right.
Then translate in the target language in JoomFish

Dear Ole Bang,

I will try it out. Thanks for your answer. This doesn't change the meta tag language, does it?
Have a great day,
Kelley

I did as you said, but why google in search results for different language don't show this translated text?

He shows original Global Site Meta Description, but not translated one, why?

Thanks
