Hello guys !

I installed Joomla 2.5.4 on my website, and then i try to install JCE 2.0.2.1 at my default editor. Nothing happend when i install this extension. I install then Akeeba Backup, everything was ok. I installed another plugins, ok again.

JCE 2021 don't want to install on Joomla 2.5.4. Nothing apear after that. It's seems that i don't try. I don't know where is the problem. JCE 2021 doesn't support J 2.5.4 ?

Anybode knows what's happend ?

I had a little trouble installing the latest jce (2021) too but it's easy enough to fix...

unzip the jce installer in your tmp directory, install that and then (if it is still busted) upload the content other folders from the jce installer into their appropriate locations:

ie: components, admin/components and admin language

components/com_jce - the com_jce folder in the installer
/administrator/components/com_jce is the folder that belongs in /administrator/components/com_jce

very rarely do you have to do a manual install or a fix like this- but if you have to - this works for me

Did you set your editor as JCE from global configuration->site tab->Default Editor to JCE editor?

Thanks, man. It's working. I unzip the JCE in tmp folder, and then install from "Install from Directory".
