Hello,

I recently installed joomla on an existing website. All the webpages are working fine, except when I enter the URL of the website (http://www.sterpstra.com). I get the old homepage, instead of the new one created by joomla (http://www.sterpstra.com/index.php/homepage). Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

First of all, welcome to Joomla and to the Joomla forum.

Your old website has a file named index.html in the root folder.

And your server is set to serve index.html before it serves index.php (this is normal on most servers).

So try this: using FTP (or your web host's control panel file manager), rename the file index.html to be index.html.old.

That will make your Joomla site come up properly.
