I might be in the wrong forum also, so please move me if need be. So my friend was moving his site from Media Temple to GoDaddy. He wanted me to help him. I know html/css pretty well, but I am a novice at server stuff.

I downloaded all of the files onto my computer as a backup, and he switched servers etc..., I then uploaded all of the files into the new server, but am not getting what I expected. The site is on Joomla 1.5 (upgrading is next after I get this working), and the site is http://www.gooregongo.com/joomla. (http://www.gooregongo.com is just a temp page while I get the joomla part up and running)

Thank you for any insight you might have.'

Jeff Clark

The server is missing the php interpreter.

Use the Forum Post Assistant so we can validate the server.

That will not execute either as long as the server do not have php installed.

Contact GodDaddy and ask for the account to be moved to a suited server with php+mysql.

Ok, Spoke to the people at GoDaddy and now the server is configured more correctly. However, now I am getting a different error:

"jtablesession::Store Failed
DB function failed with error number 1054
Unknown column 'gid' in 'field list' SQL=INSERT INTO `jos_session` ( `session_id`,`time`,`username`,`gid`,`guest`,`client_id` ) VALUES ( 'ddc9f5bfaafb4f9b0ce24dfe8d3bf775','1334517019','','0','1','0' )

The database table jos_session is missing the gid field.

I was trying to do some research on how to fix the problem with the missing gid field but came up empty. Do you know of an article or site off of the top of your head that can point me in the right direction?

What version of Joomla 1.5?

There was a change from 1.5.16 to 1.5.17

Find the .sql file from the update package and run it in phpmyadmin.

Running the 1.5.0 to 1.5.26 update should also fix it.

The old site has been offline since before I started this thread, so all I have is the backup on my harddrive. I can't remember exactly what version it is. How should I proceed?

Install XAMPP on your computer. Restore the backup to it and test it out there.
