My website opens extremely slow. The website is integrated with a phpbb3 forum.

What changes can I make to eliminate the slowness issue and speed up the website???

Go to Global Configuration -> System -> Cache Settings -> Cache: Yes
Go to Global Configuration -> Server -> Server Settings -> GZIP Page Compression: Yes

Thanks for the info.

My cache was set to YES but the GZIp was not.

What is a good setting for the cache time in minutes?

My website is www.feathercraft.net

I set the site up to document and share information on old aluminum boats. I have alot of pictures showing old catalogs.

Any other comments are welocome that will help the overall performance.

Use Yslow for Firefox :
YSlow analyzes web pages and suggests ways to improve their performance based on a set of rules for high performance web pages. YSlow is a Firefox add-on integrated with the Firebug web development tool
