Hello,

I am new to Joomla, I wonder if it is possible to automatically display some certain posts (meet some criteria) in a main page module?

for example, http://www.kwcg.ca/ has a right side column that shows the most recent posts from its forum, I am not sure if I can do this - I have installed Kunena forum in my Joomla site (not online yet, studying locally)

Besides, I also want to have the ability to automatically syndicate my website from other website, I don't have time to maintain the website, so if I can get some data feed and integrate them into my site, that would resolve this issue.

Thank you very much.

You can display latest post in module position. To do that login to Joomla administrator panel then Extension -> Module Manager and then click on New to create a new module from different types of module select Latest News and then in the Latest News select the Categories from which it will display posts, enter a value for Count to display the number of latest post link to display. Publish this module to where you like and it will make the work for you.

Thank you and take care. :)

What do you mainly want to do? Can you give some details to make it clear.

Thank you. :)

Thanks. Basically I want to collect articles from other websites (with authorization) in a daily basis (or shorter) and display them in my website, this is to make my website provides a centralized point for my readers to get what they want.

Let's still use the http://www.kwcg.ca/ website as an example, they don't have any news, what they do is, I think, gather news from other website manually/automatically with some selection process, and present them to their readers. You can see this from their website: the slider is one (see attached screenshot: news area 1), the section beneath it is another one (see attached screenshot: news area 2).

I hope this is clearer now.

Thank you very much for your kind help.
