The following post in another forum mentions this error message and the jsecure extension: http://www.joomlaserviceprovider.com/component/kunena/7-installation/68-illegal-variable-files-or-env-or-get-or-post-o.html

Hello Toivo, thanks for your reply but I did not installed jsecure plugin, so it shouldn't be the cause of my problem here, right ?

Here are more options regarding the possible source of that message:

CKForms and numbers in field names:
http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/ckforms/tracker/?action=TrackerItemEdit&tracker_item_id=17458

Using field names starting with numbers:

Hi

I've been struggeling with this problem for a few weeks now as well and have not found a solution in any forum anywhere. Some of my sites only get it on the front end and if you clear the cookies, the pages reload ok - however this is still a problem because generally users don't know to do this so they'll think the site is broken and just close it down.

On two of my sites it's stopping me from getting into the backend so now I'm stuck with these completely. I tried upgrading one of them from 1.5.15 to 1.5.22 - no luck.

Globals are off, safe-mode is off
I have never installed JSecure or CK Forms on any of these sites.
I have not installed any extensions since the sites were running without any problems
Clearing cookies & cache has not helped anywhere
It's happening on various versions - from 1.5.12 - 1.5.22

How is it possible that my sites were all fine for months and now suddenly this problem starts happening across the board? >:(

I am having this issue all of a sudden. I suspect a hack.

Take a look at the contents of your cookie. In Chrome, when I open the cookies for my site, I see one that starts with a number. I believe that is what is causing the error. As to what is generating that cookie, I 'm not sure.

Are you only having it on the backend of the site? Mine affected the front and backend.

See if /libraries/joomla/environment/response.php has a bunch of code at the bottom of it designed to snoop out cookies from google/yahoo/bing, etc. That's how it was set on my end. It's a hack job.

i dont think it's an hacking...

MKlgiht,

You said you see it in the front end, is that when trying to login?

Do you use a third party extension to protect your administrator login area?

Do you have numbers in your password?

Is there any reason you know of that might put numbers in any of your URLs?

I'm thinking this is to do with numbers in URLs.

Are you sure there is not an article recently added or changed that has only numbers for its alias?

Can you be sure you haven't been hacked?

Please supply a link and I'll have a look.

hi, yes i'm sure there is it's not regards to numbers because i have several sites with this problem
and i didn't edit most of while it happened.

i'm not sure it's not a hack... but i think... also because all of my joomla sites are like this,
does the hacker can watch witch sites are in the same server and hack them all ?

here is the link:
http://www.my-goal.org.il/

try get into
http://www.my-goal.org.il/administrator

and press any user or password, it should give you the error message

I didn't get the error message.

I need to speak to you about this, can you pm me?

Also I found these URLs and they are probably part of the issue:

/component/content/article/3-2010-11-03-11-45-33/8-2010-11-03-11-47-24.html
/component/content/article/3-2010-11-03-11-45-33/9-2010-11-03-12-10-15.html
/component/content/article/3-2010-11-03-11-45-33/10-2010-11-03-12-11-21.html

If anybody else is struggling with this issue, here is the fix that appears to have worked for Mklgiht:

Make sure your temp and log folders are writable.

Upgrade/re-overlay the latest Joomla version via ftp.

The issue here was different from above as an unexplainable cookie was being set, the cookie had a name of '73647' I've no idea where it was coming from, but the instructions in this post solved the issue for this user.
