Hi all,

I'm trying to install JCH Optimize plugin on Joomla 2.5 because my site is extremely slow, but whenever I try the installation on the Joomla Extension Manager, it gives me the following error:
JFTP: :mkdir: Bad response
JFTP: :mkdir: Bad response
JFTP: :mkdir: Bad response
JFTP: :mkdir: Bad response
JFTP: :mkdir: Bad response
JFTP: :mkdir: Bad response
JFTP: :write: Bad response
Unable to write entry

This is where I'm downloading it from:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/jch-optimize/files/

I've tried already differents versions and none of them works!

I would appreciate if anyone can help me because my site is really needing some speed-up!

Thanks...

Have you tried to install the extensions by disabling FTP?

To disable FTP, go to Global Configuration, in the tab Server, in the section FTP Settings, for the option Enable FTP, choose the value No.

Hi Ilagnayeru,

Thanks SO much for your reply.
I just tried your suggestion and it says 'Installing plugin was successful', however it also says 'Warning: Failed to move file!'...what does this last one means???

Also, can I now, that the plugin apparently is installed, change the ftp settings BACK to Enabled?

Thanks a lot for your time and co-operation!!!

This is most likely due to ownership or permission issue.

Review of the document http://docs.joomla.org/How_to_solve_Installation_errors_Extension_Manager could be of help.

Hi again,
Thanks for the additional info! I'm going through it...the plugin seems to help with the speed (mind you not much really)...HOWEVER, it messed-up the design of one of my tabs (only that one)...
What that could be or how can I fix it???

Thanks...

I cannot comment on that. Perhaps, the URL of the site would be of help in letting others see what is happening.

Suggest getting in touch with the extension developer.
