Hello,
I have a Vimeo frame on my homepage. I would like to display a static image when a user is connecting from China (otherwise they get a "page cannot be displayed" because of Chinese restrictions.
I thought of GeoIP module but I wanted to know if there was a better/easier way.

Any thought?

Thanks,
Roberto.

.
What do you mean by "page cannot be displayed" ?
- your website page cannot be displayed, or
- within the Vimeo IFrame that message appears

I know Vimeo.com is blocked in China, so I would expect the IFrame embed is going to get blocked.
If you use the older Vimeo object embed method (not the IFrame) a simple fallback image may work.

Or if you want the video to appear, a fallback video could be used.

Please post a link to the page.

Hi,
thanks for answering.
the error I get is the one attached.
The code I use to display the video:
Code:
<div class="video"><iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/29451021?title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0" width="233" height="131" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen="" allowfullscreen="true"></iframe></div>

How do I implement a fall back image?

Thanks,
Roberto.

Well that is a useless image which does not answer the question.

Well, in your first reply you ask "What do you mean by 'the page cannot be displayed?'"... that's what I mean.
Where I'm supposed to see the Vimeo video (embedded using a iframe) I see the error above instead.

Is that clear enough?

Thanks,
Roberto.
