I want to make a site in which user can create account from the front end and will be able to upload and store their documents and data so that they can download it when needed.

Another major feature would be that the documents of one person will not be shown to the other
i.e. User 1 will not be able to see what user 2 has uploaded.

If anyone has the solution then please do inform.

You should try DocMan its excellent upload/download manager for Joomla, and it has been there for quite long time to make it mature enough.
