I have a menu that is showing in the main portion of my frontpage. It took me forever to figure out it is the subcategories of one of my Article Categories. Now I can't figure out how to remove it.

I went to Article options and hid everything I could find regarding categories.

Help please...its driving me nuts! :)

It (may) be a module displaying. Go to your template documentation and see what position its in, then look at the modules that may be in that position...

That's the strange thing...it shows positions User 16 & 17 but there is not one module assigned to this position, nor is there a module that contains this article category menu.
